Chapter 1: The Unfolding Story of My Weight Gain
There was a time when my health took a downturn, prompting me to enroll in a gym and attend Zumba classes. Through dedication, I managed to shed nearly 7 kgs over a period of 6 to 7 months. Although this was a significant achievement, maintaining that progress proved difficult, especially with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For a while, everything seemed stable; I had only gradually gained three kgs over the past three years. However, my weight surged recently, and I found myself adding 7 kgs in just three months.
It's often said that "Healthy Relationship Weight Gain" is a genuine phenomenon, and I can attest to that. Upon entering a new relationship, I noticed a shift. Factors like reduced physical activity from spending more time together, indulgent dinners, and his sweet surprises delivered to my door significantly contributed to my rapid weight gain. 😄
Recognizing this trend within three months, I took action and began dieting to halt any further weight increase. Although I attempted various dieting strategies and incorporated some walking into my routine, I couldn't access a gym or engage in intense workouts, which limited my progress.
I had hoped to appear more slender at my Roka ceremony, but I ended up feeling heavier than ever.
Despite managing to lose 1 kg, it became clear that returning to the gym was essential for burning off the additional calories I had accumulated.
Exercise is an important aspect of a healthy lifestyle, and I'm determined to commit this time around, regardless of the specific weight target. Ultimately, the focus should be on adopting a sustainable and healthy lifestyle rather than fixating on the numbers displayed on a scale.
