# Transform Your Life with 10 Daily Habits: From Zero to Hero
Written on
Chapter 1: The Journey of Transformation
In 2016, I hit rock bottom. Life has a way of teaching us invaluable lessons when we feel most adrift. I left my job in South Africa and returned to India, determined to find a new career, earn better, and truly embrace life. It was then that I resolved to alter my daily habits.
Fast forward a few years, and the changes I made in 2016 have positively impacted every facet of my life. I went from having a single income source to multiple streams. I eliminated a hefty mortgage, becoming debt-free while acquiring a new property. I've authored three books on Amazon, with one even becoming a bestseller. Travel is my passion, and I've now visited over 18 countries. In 2017, I launched LOA Simplified coaching, guiding over 10,000 students to transform their lives for the better.
All these achievements stemmed from a commitment to daily habit changes. It's not complicated; it simply requires adjusting your routine. Here are ten habits that, if adopted, can turn you from a zero into a hero.
Section 1.1: Meditation
Meditation is often touted, yet its significance cannot be overstated. It's not tied to any specific religion but is fundamentally about self-reflection. Regular meditation fosters substantial life changes: it reduces anger, alleviates stress, enhances memory, and promotes self-awareness.
If you're new to meditation, consider starting with guided sessions.
Time Commitment: At least 20 minutes
Optimal Timing: Early morning or before bedtime
Section 1.2: Visualization
Visualization has been transformative for me; I now consider myself a manifestation magnet. It allows me to swiftly attract my desires. Some people claim visualization doesn't yield results for them, but that's often due to incorrect application. It always works—if done properly! [Learn more about visualization here.](#)

Section 1.3: Gratitude Journaling
Expressing gratitude for our blessings is perhaps the best way to acknowledge the divine. Life itself is a significant gift. By cultivating an attitude of gratitude, we enhance our mental strength, improve our relationships, and even boost our physical health.
To practice gratitude effectively, keep a journal. Every morning, jot down your blessings with heartfelt sincerity. Remember, it's not just about listing; it's about feeling grateful.
Time Commitment: At least 10 minutes
Optimal Timing: Anytime during the day
Section 1.4: Reading Aloud Your Goals
Initially skeptical, I discovered that reading my goals aloud daily is one of the simplest yet most impactful habits. Each morning, recite your short-term and long-term goals three to five times. You'll be surprised at how many you accomplish.
Time Commitment: Less than 5 minutes
Optimal Timing: Morning
Section 1.5: Walking 10,000 Steps
Setting a goal to walk 10,000 steps daily might seem daunting at first. However, I found that within weeks, it became enjoyable. Listening to music while exploring new routes not only keeps the experience fresh but also fosters a love for nature.
Time Commitment: 120 minutes
Optimal Timing: Early morning
Section 1.6: Gym/Workout
Years ago, I purchased a gym membership but only used it for a week due to procrastination. However, when I decided to evolve into a better version of myself, I tackled procrastination head-on. Regular exercise enhances health, brain function, and provides much-needed personal time.
Time Commitment: 40 to 60 minutes
Optimal Timing: Anytime, preferably early morning
Section 1.7: Learning New Skills
Daily engagement in learning new skills has opened numerous doors for me. It sparks creativity and makes the learning process enjoyable. Just a little time spent each day can yield incredible results.
Time Commitment: 20 minutes
Optimal Timing: Anytime
Section 1.8: Reading & Writing
In today's social media age, maintaining a reading habit can be challenging. Yet, committing to reading just ten pages a day can lead to completing a 300-page book in a month. Writing, too, has been a cherished practice for me—it's akin to meditation, providing immense joy.
Time Commitment: At least 20 minutes
Optimal Timing: Anytime
Section 1.9: No Phone Hour
To enhance sleep quality, I recommend avoiding smartphone use before bed. Instead, keep a book nearby. This practice not only improves sleep but also nurtures your subconscious mind.
Time Commitment: 0 minutes
Optimal Timing: One hour before bedtime
Section 1.10: Early Bedtime
Prioritizing sleep is essential. Initially, going to bed early was a challenge, but reading a physical book helps ease me into sleep.
